Noord-Scharwoude, the Netherlands, 7 October 2026 - Every spring, visitors from all over the world travel to Keukenhof to see the Dutch tulips in bloom. Far fewer know that the Kop van Noord-Holland, an hour north of Amsterdam, describes itself as the largest continuous flower-bulb area in the Netherlands. From April 2027, Dutch golf travel company Wave Golf Experience brings international golfers to both bulb regions with Tulips & Tee Times - Holland in Bloom.

In the polders around Anna Paulowna and Sint Maartenszee, the bulb fields stretch to the horizon. The region has its own flower traditions, such as the Polder Garden in Anna Paulowna, planted every year by local volunteers with bulbs from nearby growers, and the Anna Paulowna Flower Days, held from 17 to 21 April 2027.

The flower story even continues on the golf course. Golfbaan Regthuys in Winkel opened its Tulip Loop in 2013, and hole 4 is laid out in the shape of a tulip: the tees form the bulb, the fairway the stem and the green the flower.

April is also the month in which many Dutch members’ clubs play their national club competition, which limits tee times for visiting groups exactly during the flowering season. Wave Golf Experience therefore selected courses with realistic access for visitors and pairs every golf day with an alternative course.

“Most international golfers who visit the Netherlands in spring only see the Bollenstreek, and many find out too late that the best-known clubs are busy with competition golf in April,” says Anton Rutgers, Managing Director of Wave Golf Experience. “By combining the bulb fields of North Holland with courses that welcome visiting groups, we can show tour operators a side of the Dutch spring that their clients have not seen before.”
